Cloudy... and not the sparse kind of clouds that you can see blue sky through, no. These were the dreary type of clouds that either alluded to a future rainstorm, or just made the day seem gloomy. The forest surrounded the wide dirt path Errol was walking on either side. He grasped either side of his tan cloak and pulled it close to his body. Looking on either side of the path in the dim daylight for anything, anything at all. Though, all Errol saw was bushes, plants, and trees, it was still an ominous feeling that the day had given him. He didn't like overcast days like this, it always made him feel on edge, and his optimism went down the drain. Scanning either side of the path with his blue eyes, and every now and then, halting in his tracks, as if hearing something; though it wasn't anything discernible besides the wind. A cold breeze picked up the ends of his cloak and gave him a shiver. The black linen tunic and pants he wore underneath his cloak did little to stave off the dreary coldness of the day. He sniffled slightly, feeling a little sick from being exposed to the cold, but Errol had no problems with continuing on. His optimism always pulled through, and he felt if he stopped, his adventure would be as good as over, so either way, he was going to press on through the cold of the day, and the sadness of the clouds. Just then, he got an idea, to stave off at least the sadness, he would watch the clouds every now and then as he walked. There were many different shades of the clouds, and hey, he always loved cloud gazing when he was bored and alone during a sunny warm day. Why not on a cold and dreary one too? If not to stave off the cold, then to get rid of the boredom he was now succumbing to as well. Ever the optimist, Errol did just that, gaining a small smile from the different shapes he was able to discern from the many cloud formations that cascaded atop one another.
He took in a deep breath, the cold air stinging his lungs and throat a bit, but it was relaxing nonetheless. Even though he wasn't feeling all that great, he was improving his mood, and this was something that he held dear about himself. That in any situation, he was able to think things through, and not feel sad or depressed about it, to move on constantly. Yep, moving on- though, his moving on would stop abruptly. Errol's cloud gazing made him run into a tree on a turn in the path, smacking dead into it with the center of his mass. His chin and chest hurting, he made a pained gurgle before falling backward onto the dirt and sprawling out staring up at the sky. "Just... Great..." He mumbled to himself, grabbing onto his chest and forgetting all about the cold, running into a tree will do that to you.

Damn it.
Such dark clouds had to be an omen of something, she was sure of it. Or it was going to rain later, and a lot. Either way, those clouds weren't all that normal during this time of the year.
Nayda sat up on a tree, staring up at the sky absentmindedly, like she really had nothing to do. And she didn't. Things were all too boring lately; though she was aware that something was going to happen. She just knew it. There were clues everywhere. The clouds, and all those nightmares she'd been having -they all had to mean something. They just had to.
If you really wanted to know you'd let me out, Kyura's voice said slyly. Nayda flinched and tugged at her bangs lightly. "Not a chance,"was all her answer. Kyura's voice had been bothering her a lot lately. She was trying to ignore her as much as possible, but she couldn't rid herself of it completely. It stalked her thoughts darkly sometimes, when she wasn't expecting it, mostly at night, when her mind was all too blank to pay attention to anything. She wanted to get rid of it. Being possessed by a dark spirit had never been too appealing.
Blonde hair fell over her eyes as she scanned her surroundings quietly. Trees, flowers, a few birds hurrying their way across the gloomy sky that threatened a thunderstorm. The thought of rain brought back too much, and the feeling of melancholy washed over her like a wave. She shook her head. Cheer up, she thought, biting into her lips thoughtfully. The past is gone, let go of it.
All suddenly, she felt her tree shaking a bit, and she let out a light gasp. Purplish blue eyes stared down in shy curiosity and she saw a man that had apparently hit a tree. She would have giggled at that, but...no, she'd better not. She did that all too often. Instead she got off the tree and approached him cautiously, shyly.
"Are you alright?"

Errol brought his hand up from rubbing his chest, the pain dulling a little, and began to rub his still throbbing chin. It hurt like hell, and the cold chills coming back didn't help, either. He sighed and decided it would be best to just lay there for a bit. Sprawling out had made his cloak spread out on the ground, so he reached out and pulled the cloak over him so as to rest, and keep a little warm at least. Sniffling again, he sighed, letting one of his hands sneak through the front opening of his cloak and continue to rub on his chin, pulling down on the tall collar of his cloak to do so. His eyes were still on the clouds, but his attention was grabbed by the sound of something dropping. As if an apple had dropped from one of the trees, but this was far too near, and the tree he had hit wasn't an apple tree. Errol lifted his head, still laying on the ground, but dropped his head from a combination feeling a flush of embarrassment and instant infatuation when he saw the figure whom dropped down from the tree, apparently. Blonde, cute, and... an Elf? Errol didn't really know, though, he had seen the elongated ears, and instantly thought so, but she looked so young, it was hard to tell really. She approached him, slowly, shyly, cautiously, and asked "Are you alright?"
Errol sat up in less than a second when she asked that, dropping his hand from his chin and smiling, leaning forward so his face was not covered by the high collar of his cloak, a red patch on his chin from where he had contacted with the tree. His blue eyes locked with her Purplish colored irises. She was a looker, thats for sure! Elves always were really good looking in Errol's opinion, and she was no exception! His face flushed a little as he looked her up and down quickly before locking eyes with her again.
"I am now!"
He burst out, smiling wide, and bringing a hand up to rub the back of his head in embarrassment, turning his head and looking away from her for a moment, before turning his eyes to lock with hers again. They were mesmerizing, her eyes, they made him forget all about how cold he was feeling, or even that he was feeling a little under the weather. Just then he realized, he must seem like a total weirdo, just sitting there ogling her! Errol gathered his thoughts quickly and decided he'd better follow up what he had said.
"Err... Hi there.. I'm Errol, nice to meet you!"
He kept smiling, his face turning a light shade of red, he dropped his hand from the back of his head, but not before pushing away some of his long brown locks from his face. He wondered about this girl, who she was, what she was doing out here on her own on such a gloomy day. So strange, but he wasn't about to question her, she was too good looking for him to question her about anything other than what was her name, and if he could stay around her.

Wide eyes searched the man's face with concern and a bit of fear. Though, deep down she still wanted to laugh at the fact that he hadn't seen the tree. But, knowing the sensation of getting hurt -let's face it, she got hurt all too often- she didn't. She offered him a shy smile though; a bit of kindness always helped when one did something stupid.
She did feel a bit surprisedwhen he announced he was fine. How could anyone recover that fast? She did smile at him, though, shyly. "W-Well, good. Don't move though, you could have broken something,"she replied, trying to sound firm and failing miserably. Too bad she couldn't gain a shred of self confidence. Lame, really.
Nayda was blushing madly by now, cheeks flushing with a bright red shade that made her look like she had a fever or something. By then she realized that she was biting into her lips so hard that she was drawing blood. It made her a bit dizzy, but she ignored the fact altogether.
Don't get sick. Don't you DARE. Do you hear me?! Dammit, Nayda, pull yourself together! The warning came in Kyura's voice yet again, it scared her a bit but allowed her mind to focus on something else. Thanks goodness.
She snapped back to reality as soon as the stranger introudced himself. "Oh, nice meeting you too. My name is Nayda...um..."her mind blocked after that. WHAT NOW?!she thought and then noticed..."Why are you smiling like that? Is there something wrong with your face?"she asked innocently. And then she figured that question wasn't right. She blushed and then blurted out a few apologies.

His eyes locked with hers still, and he noticed when she looked over him a slightly fearful look, though probably out of concern. His chin was still red, probably, from running into the tree, and she offered him a shy smile, so it made him glad he hadn't scared her or anything. He returned her smile with his own, and his face turned a little redder when he heard her stutter when she spoke. She had a nice voice, it was gentle, Errol could get used to hearing her around. "W-Well, good. Don't move though, you could have broken something,"
While, Errol didn't think this was true, it wouldn't hurt to be cautious, he nodded and didn't get up any further, merely sitting on the ground and looking at her as she looked at him. She didn't seem to be coming toward him, merely standing her ground and looking at him. Errol looked around her face, breaking eye contact with those purplish irises to notice her face blush. It was strange, she was embarrassed? Or was he embarrassing himself somehow. Errol looked himself over, to make sure nothing that shouldn't be hanging out was hanging out, anything that could make her laugh at him, and make him have to walk away from her in shame. Nope, nothing. Errol locked eyes with her, and noticed she was biting her lip, he looked at her quirkily, but still smiled.
"Oh, nice meeting you too. My name is Nayda...um..."
Nayda... That was such a nice name, Errol's mind wandered with that name echoing in her voice in his head. His face turned a little redder, it fit her perfectly, so pretty, like a delicate flower. He took in a deep breath and sighed as he stared into her eyes.
"Why are you smiling like that? Is there something wrong with your face?"
Her voice snapped him back into reality, his face still reddened from embarrassment and her strikingly good looks. Errol noticed the fact that he had been staring into her eyes, she must think he was a FREAK! He turned his head away from her, and laughed nervously, embarrassed.
"Haaaa... Yeah... Wait! No! Nothing's wrong! Nayda... Thats a nice name... Y-You... You're really beautiful, you know."
Errol trailed off at the last bit, starting rockily with his words. He didn't know what to say! She was super cute, and hell, that was enough to get his brain in a jumble. He took another deep breath and sighed, that was it though, he probably had scared her off and she wouldn't want to talk to him, he would be again, along, ditched and laughed at by the elven girl. He was sure she was an elf now, he had gotten a good look at those pointy ears, and it matched a drawing in a codex he had read back at the Master Sage's cave. Errol looked back into her eyes, and scanning around her face, before noticing a little red on her lower lip. He looked into her eyes for a moment again, then back at her lip, then back up into her eyes. He was a little baffled that she had hurt herself, and he voiced it.
"Umm.. You... You're bleeding a little..."
Errol tapped his own lower lip, so that she could tell what he was talking about, she would probably think him a weirdo for just saying out of the blue that she was bleeding, but it was true! And a pretty girl like that should take care of herself.

Nayda blinked a bit and fixed her gaze on the ground. Had she just been called beautiful? Like, for real? That wasn't possible. She was still half human; she wasn't as pretty as he was saying. This was just not right. "No I'm not...but thanks anyway,"she mumbled, staring down at her feet.
She then realized something. "You...like my name? It's a bit...rare...I think my mom made it up out of boredom...or something..."she explained with a small smile still in place. Her cheeks were all too red by now, and the truth was, her head was hurting a little. Maybe she was getting sick. Which wasn't good. She wanted to figure out what was coming for the clouds to look like that, and if she caught a cold she wouldn't ba able to do it.
Far away, a few miles from there, she could see the rain. Oh. So maybe it wasn't an omen. Maybe it was just foul weather. Then Errol made a comment about the fact that she was bleeding. Nayda reached for her lower lip and wiped a few drops of blood off it. "I know...I...I do that whan I'm tense...which is always anyway, so..."she giggled a bit at that. She definitely needed to laugh at herself a little bit more.
This was silly. Nayda wasn't good with people, why did she always end up getting involved in conversations? Then again, it was worth it. She had offered help to a person who might or might not have gotten hurt and thatt made her feel good...even if that sensation was just plain blocked by embarrasment at the moment.
She gave a smile anyway. Scared, but still a smile."How...well...what did you do to that tree so that it hit you?""she asked, trying to joke. Silly attempt, yeah. But it could work.

Errol's locked gaze with her eyes was cut short when she looked down at her feet, she seemed unsure of herself, and down on herself as well. Errol tilted his head to the side as she replied to him.
"No I'm not...but thanks anyway,"[/i]
It kind of took Errol aback that she didn't accept his compliment, at least, not entirely. He felt as if she was putting herself down for no reason, and this just wasn't acceptable for Mr Grey. She began to explain, in that amazing voice of hers, the story of how she had gotten her name, or at least, a very cut down version that was fairly down on herself.
"You...like my name? It's a bit...rare...I think my mom made it up out of boredom...or something..."[/color]
She smiled, her cheeks getting red, Errol could see because even though she was looking down at her feet, he was sitting and could see her face just enough. Forgetting all about clouds, cold, and his feeling a little under the weather, he repositioned himself so that he sat cross-legged. He didn't even notice the rain that she had, he was totally locked into looking at this blonde beauty. She noticed, after Errol had pointed it out, that she had bitten her lip and drew blood. She wiped a bit of the blood off, but it seemed to not bother her as much as it had Errol.
"I know...I...I do that whan I'm tense...which is always anyway, so..."
Nayda giggled at that, it was strange, but Errol's slightly faded smile widened. At least she was somewhat cheery. But tense? Why would she be tense? He didn't want that, he wished her to be relaxed around him. For many reasons, but mostly for her well-being, he wasn't always trying to get into the pants of every girl he met. She gave him a smile, it wasn't wide, it was a little strange, but she cracked a joke.
"How...well...what did you do to that tree so that it hit you?"
He snickered at her joke and smiled at her, taking a hand and placing it on the ground to help brace him as he tried to stand up. Slowly, he stood, making sure nothing was broken, sprained, or hurt. He was in fairly good condition, considering, and dusted off the back of his cloak as he turned to Nayda and gave her a smile.
"Ah, well, the tree probably sensed that I have a knack for fires. Though I would never hurt the tree, it probably held it against me!"
He joked back, smiling and rubbing his hands together quickly so as to gain some heat from friction. When he opened his hands, and held them out infront of him, a few embers and sparks appeared. Errol blew on them gently, starting a small flame hovering just over his cradling palms. He smiled at her, hoping she would be impressed by his display, however small, of magical prowess. Errol let her take a look at the fire he had created from basically nothing for a moment, before slapping his hands together, and making the small flame disappear. He pulled his cloak close to him and took a slow step toward Nayda, still with a gentle smile.
"You should not be so down on yourself... I have seen many beautiful women, but none really compare to you, Miss Nayda... and causing yourself hurt because of tension, well, all I can say is... Relax."
Errol's voice was calm, and in his opinion, soothing. He wanted Nayda to at least not be so embarrassed, though his face was still pretty red from being in her presence, and from his previous embarrassment. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, as if to show how relaxed he was, but in reality, he was just as tense as her. He was a little intimidated that she could break his heart at any moment just by telling him off, though from what he saw of her personality so far, she was far too nice to do that. His chin and chest still hurt from the tree, but he had forgotten all about the pain when he locked eyes with this Elf.

Alright, this was getting less awkward; but still...a bit strange. Nayda wasn't really used to being around people, but Errol made it pretty easy. Happiness just seemed to be his natural state, and it was contagious. The smile on her face widened a bit, though there was still a faint blush on her cheeks.
"Wow..."she breathed while looking at the flames. She didn't know there were spells for that. It was fascinating. "How do you do that?"she asked curiously. Her only magic power that really did something was seeing the future, and the visions often scared the hell out of her.
It was odd, but Errol reminded her a bit of Aiden. He was always happy, too, though Aiden was much more agressive. And more hot-headed too. A sting of nostalgia hit her. She missed him, missed the days of her childhood when they could run about innocently. Before she left and then things started to get seriously complicated... before she ran off to try and find her father again. She bit her lips, though not as hard as to get hurt.
Talk about that, Errol then told her not to be down on herself, and to relax. The smile faded. Well, it was a habit already. Or part of her nature. Whichever it was, she couldn't help it anymore. Though, a lot of people agreed with him, and thought her beautiful. Her parents said it all the time, though she had always believed they said so because it was their obligation.
"...I..."she mumbled. What was one supposed to reply to advice? She rarely received it. "...I try, but I never notice when I do..."she finished. What a silly answer.
"Where are you heading to?"

"Wow... How do you do that?"
Errol smiled to himself, hiding it behind the tall collar of his cloak. She was impressed, this boosted his confidence by alot, it made him feel good that he had caused her some wonderment, some amazement at his little spectacle. He brought a hand up and out from underneath his cloak and wagged his index finger.
"Ah, a good magician never reveals the secrets to his tricks."
Her smile had faded, though, when Errol had told her not to be so tense, to relax. Had he offended her? Had he made this flower wilt?! Errol needed to water this fair flower, lest she wilt away or become saddened before him! Such bad luck, it was, he thought to himself, though his thoughts which raced were cut all too short by her harp-like voice, beautiful in its own way, speaking out to him, and timidly speaking about how she never noticed when she was relaxed. So strange, this pretty lady was, but it didn't make Errol want to turn away from her. She was way too good looking for him to do something like that. She followed up her explanation by asking where he was headed. A good subject-change in his opinion.
"Well, honestly... I have no direct destination... I suppose you could say I'm a wanderer.. I'm looking for powerful spell-casters to apprentice under, and to learn."
Errol formed a fist with his outstretched hand, smiling to himself. It was his drive, to go out into the world and learn, and become a stronger magician. However, there was still a bit he wanted to know about this young lady. Errol took another graceful step toward her, close enough for Errol to notice he was just a little taller than she was. Locking his blue eyes with her purple irises, he dropped his hand and hid them both underneath his cloak.
"Do you mind if I ask what such a pretty looking Elf is doing on her lonesome on such a day as this?"

Now that she'd started to relax a bit, she was starting to have fun. The fire trick had amused her just enough to allow herself to relax a bit. It was much better like that. She let out a giggle at Errol's comment about the trick. She was almost completely sure that anyone else would have thought he was showing off, but Nayda was too kind and too...naive to think that.
"Oh...alright, then."
And the more she talked to him, the more he reminded her of Aiden. It brought a need to break down and cry, a need she was fighting back with all of her will and that she was going to have to give up into at some point. Though, not now. She was enjoying herself far too much.
Don't cry, don't, she thought, putting a smile on her face. It was far too easy to bottle things up. Wrong, but easy. The habit was going to drive her crazy some day, but she had to do it. It was better than letting people see how bad she was...how hurt she felt.
When you care about people, you have to put them first, before you.
She then returned to reality, as Errol started to explain that he was a wanderer. "...I see...."she answered. Then she took a step toward her, and she had to look away yet again. Though, the only thing Errol did was ask what she was doing there. She looked up. "I was a bit bored, so I came here for a walk. And then the sky got like that,"she pointed up at the dark clouds. "I thought it was some sort of sign, but I can see rain at the West. So it's probably just a storm,"she answered, shrugging a bit.

Even though she said she wasn't loosening up, she definitely seemed like it. She was smiling again, even though she looked away when he took a step toward her. It didn't matter, at least he was talking with her, and she was continuing to grace him with her presence. It was magic to him, as if they were meant to be here at this moment. He liked this situation, and her quite a bit. Errol smiled down at her as she looked up. Though she wasn't looking at him; she explained about why she was there, just taking a little walk out of boredom, and then the sky got how it was. She pointed out to the sky, saying she thought it was an omen, something that was going to happen, but no, just rain. Errol turned his head to look in the direction she pointed, and sure enough there was rain. Errol, being the gentleman that he is, felt compelled to ask her how long she was going to stay out here.
"Rain, cold? This isn't a good mix, not at all... Miss Nayda, would you mind at all if I stayed with you? I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I let a beautiful lady such as yourself walk alone when rain was coming... My cloak is waterproof, we would be able to keep dry underneath it, if you wouldn't mind getting close."
Errol tried not to sound too creepy about it, he did like this girl, but if he scared her off with his words, he would be heartbroken... for a few minutes. Then he'd move on in his adventure, but the more time he spent with this young lady, the more he wanted to get to know her, to find out about her, what made her, well... her.
"But.. That won't be happening anytime soon... and the rain is far away for now..."
Errol looked down at her again, smiling over his tall collar.
"Would you mind too much continuing to walk with me? It gets terribly lonely walking, and company would be more than welcome."
Taking another step toward her, and putting an arm around her so that he would guide her at his side as they walked. He was pretty sure she would come with, hey, why wouldn't she?

The rain had faded from the West, as far as she could now see. The dark clouds had already started to move toward their specific location, at this forest. They were going to get soaked if they stayed there, she thought, tugging a bit at her bangs.
Just as the thought crossed her mind, he asked if he minded if he stayed with her, then putting an arm around her shoulder. The contact made her blush, she really wasn't used to being that close to anyone. But she smiled anyway. "I don't mind at all, sir..."she mumbled.
She then giggled a bit. Hadn't he called her 'miss' before? It was odd. People usually wasn't that polite. "But...may I ask you why do you keep calling me 'miss'? It doesn't bother me,"she added quickly, blushing even harder,"but I'm not very used to being called that,"she said, smiling a bit. Most people got very strange around her. As though...she scared them.
It must be Kyura's influence, or so she thought. Her aura within Nayda's. That was sure to scare people away. Dark spirits weren't all that common this days, nor were people like her...but anyway...
Then there was the fact that there were a few racist people who didn't like the fact that she had human heritage. Nayda couldn't tell what was so bad about it; but so many years of standing it...standing people, they had really gotten to her and crushed her confidence to the ground. That explained so much...though she wasn't allowed to reveal that much about her. She'd prohibited herself from doing so.
"Where should we go now?"

Errol noticed her blush and smile as he made contact with her, and he smiled and blushed a little too. She was cute, and the red on her cheeks made her even cuter to Errol. Inside his head he was jumping gleefully around like a kid playing in a field. Well, he still was a kid, but hell, it's an analogy! The fact that she said that she didn't mind coming with him on his walk made him smile even wider. Excellent! She didn't pull away and she wanted to be around him! Amazing! Fantastic! Errol was on cloud nine over this.
He started to walk, his arm around her shoulder, looking down and smiling at her, when her beautiful voice once again cut the silence up like a leaf in the way of a sword. "But...may I ask you why do you keep calling me 'miss'? It doesn't bother me, but I'm not very used to being called that," Errol smiled back and laughed a little. It was kind of funny that a girl a beautiful as her wasn't used to being called 'miss' and being treated politely. Errol was all about that, and as the gentleman he was, he decided he would answer just as politely as he was complimenting her.
"Well, such a pretty flower such as yourself deserves to be called 'miss' and waited on for your every beckon call. Miss Nayda, so please, get used to it when you're around me. I fancy myself a traveling gentleman, you know."
He continued to lead her down the path he was traveling, the clear cut dirt highway that was surrounded by all manner of plants and trees on either side. Errol looked away from her for a moment, looking to the west and seeing the dark clouds making their way to the two's path. It would be a few short minutes before they would be rained on. This made Errol a little glum, they wouldn't be able to walk and talk, but who would stop them from sitting and talking? A tree nearby with a thick canopy was what Errol spotted. Just far enough for them to walk a little ways, and find a good seat underneath before the rain got to them. He smiled and pointed to the tree as she asked where they should go now.
"Why, there of course, Miss Nayda! This tree is perfect for us to wait out this little storm, and if any rain makes it way through that canopy, you can have my cloak."
Errol smiled at her again, locking his brown eyes with her purple eyes.

The sound of thunder that was rumbling far away somewhere was unnerving. Nayda remembered that she used to run and hide in Aiden's house, and he'd just pretty much try to calm her down while she cried and sobbed out of fear. Good thing, she'd grown a bit braver over the years, but the sound of thunder was still scary, not to mention that it brought things back...things that she missed.
Errol then explained why he'd been calling her 'miss', and she smiled sadly. He really thought her pretty. He really did. And yet, she couldn't believe him. It wasn't beauty what she saw everyday in the mirror. She just saw the face of someone who had never meant to be, someone that shouldn't be there at all. The thought brought a slight sigh that escaped her lips as she looked down at the ground. "...I'll get used to it...but I'm not that pretty, really..."she mumbled, shaking her head a bit.
No matter how hard she tried to convince herself that she was pretty, she just couldn't believe it. No one had convinced her of it, ever.
She then looked over at the tree Errol was motioning toward. She smiled. "It sure looks warm...but...I can't borrow your cloak...I wouldn't feel comfortable with it,"she said, biting her lips a little bit more. She wouldn't mind getting a little bit wet. She sure loved the rain, she had learned to like it during those hundred years of wandering the forests and travelling.
When you care about people, you have to put them first, before you, she reminded herself. It was one of the reasons for which she had left home. She wanted to help and feel useful for once...
It's that way of thinking what makes everyone step on you, Kyura's voice snapped at her dryly. Nayda gasped a bit, though it was very slight and brief. "N..."she mumbled, tugging slightly at her bangs, her expression tensing slightly.
It's not. And...and stop bothering me!
Hm. Whatever, darling. With that last phrase, the voice went silent and Nayda managed to calm down...though her expression remained tense.

Errol heaved a little sigh, he still hadn't convinced Nayda she was pretty. That was one of the steps that he took, getting the ladies he was with to confirm their beauty, and then he could get to know them a little better. But now his laid out plans were scrambled, he didn't know what to do next, really. He just fell silent, and listened to her, as well as the winds picking up and in the distance the sound of raindrops hitting on leaves. Even though she smiled, and Errol looked into her eyes, he could almost sense she was hiding something, like she was avoiding any subject pertaining to it. He wanted to get to the bottom of it a bit, it interested him almost as much as magic itself, she had gotten into his head a little. She was starting to become a recurring thought in his head, why was this girl so modest? Why did she refuse most of his hospitality? What goes on in that head of hers?
All questions that he hoped to answer, slowly. Errol's arm still around Nayda, he had guided her to underneath the canopy of the tree, and let his legs go limp underneath him. He plopped down underneath the tree, and leaned back on his elbows but not before tossing his cloak over himself to keep what it still covered warm. He still got a few chills, but nothing too serious, the company of Nayda the cute Elf girl kept his thoughts warm. Errol noticed she still stood, as and he leaned to get a look at her face. Her smile had faded to more of a tense look, she pulled on her bangs slightly, making an audible sound as if she hurt herself. So strange. Errol pushed up from his leaning sit, and got to his knees, shuffling over underneath the tree to look up at Nayda. He was pretty short on his knees, so much so that Nayda was at least a head taller than him. Errol looked up at her, and gently grasped the arm she had used to pull at her bangs, sliding his arm down to her hand and holding it.
"What is the matter? Your expressions betray your real thoughts I would assume."
Errol began, trying to console her somewhat, he really did want to know what was troubling this girl, and if there was anything in his power he could do to help. If he could, he would jump on the chance.
"If you would like to talk about it... I am a good listener."
Finishing his statement, he looked up at Nayda with a smile, he hoped she would take the offer of talking, she had a really nice voice and it didn't suit her at all to be making small hurting noises, or hurting herself at all.
