THE REGION OF MYSTÈRE - VICTORIAN AGE
THE PLOT
[/b][/u]THE PLOT
For what seems like forever, the region of Mystère has been constantly under siege, though not through warfare. Rather, Mystère has, almost since it's creation, been through famine, drought, and bouts of economic depression. The steadfast government, however, has been able to tackle each problem as it has come, be it lack of crops or problems with clean water. They have been able to build new cities to house the growing population, and they do their best in dealing with increases in criminal activity.
However, recently, a new problem has arisen, one that the government is unsure of how to rectify. Numerous bodies have been found over Mystère, and while the deaths were originally blamed on human criminals, the hypothesis seems less and less likely with each discovered victim. Bodies have been found brutally torn and rendered, others drained of blood, and strange sightings have been seen of pale, beautiful humans and large, two-legged beasts. Rumors have begun to spread, and the killings have been put down to the supernatural.
Unsure of what path to take, the government has turned to the wealthiest family in Mystère for its aid, as it has in the past been the most useful when solving problems causing national crisis. Also, rumor has it that the Alastair family also has supposed links with the supernatural, and while those in parliament do not believe such nonsense, they have become desperate, and are willing to trust in anything; even if 'anything' is two children and their band of servants...

SITE CHARACTERS NEEDED[/u][/SIZE]
CECILIA ALASTAIR
Played by:
The much admired first daughter of the Alistair family. She is strong willed, and always seems to get her way. She is snobbish, coming from an upper class family, and is often unsure of how to act around people of a much poorer background than her own. Despite her constant teasing of her brother, she actually cares for him rather deeply.
LUCIUS ALASTAIR
Played by: Mika
The manipulative younger brother of Cecilia, Lucius Alastair lacks many of the social graces his sister possess, and is far more argumentative. Often referred to as a 'brat' by those that meet him, he is seems to like his own company more than anyone else's, and he spends long periods of time alone in his room, away from the rest of the houses inhabitants.
NATHANIEL DALKHOLM
Played by:
Nathaniel Dalkholm acts as the Alistair's butler. He is perfect, in almost every way, able to keep the house running and order the other servants about with ease. He is fun-loving, quite teasing, and somehow manages to remain on good terms with both Alistair children. There is, however, something a little strange about him, and not just the pale and deathly pallor of his skin, or the red tint to his eyes. Unknown to both his employers, he is actually a vampire, one who has served their family for generations under different names.
DIMITRI MONFORT
Played by:
Dimitri Monfort is currently the acting head of the vampiric coven within Mystère. Unlike many of his predecessors who believed remaining hidden and feeding off animals was the most effective way of survival, Dimitri has a more militant and less humane approach to his covens existence. He has actively promoted feeding off humans, as he believes they are a lesser race, nothing more than playthings. Both proud and strong, he is not someone to be crossed.
AMELIA FERRIER
Played by:
Amelia Ferrier is famous among werewolves of Mystère , as she is their first alpha female. She is also still remarkably young, but she has proven herself as a worthy leader countless times. Unlike Dimitri and the vampires, Amelia takes no pleasure in having her pack feed off humans, but she has had little choice, as the vampires have expanded their hunting territory, and taking much of the food her wolves had fed upon previously. Currently, she is attempting to gather both the strength and resolve to lead an attack against the vampires, ending their existence in Mystère. She is a trustworthy being, and can be easy to get along with, although she constantly fears making the wrong decisions, and leading her pack in the wrong direction.
In the Region of Mystère you may have:

Werewolves – immortal creatures that appear human most of the time, but during the full moon are transformed into giant wolf-like beasts, losing control of their conscious thought. Some of the more powerful wolves are able to turn at will, although it takes much control.
Angels – beings sent from heaven, able to take human form. The tend to have a mastery over light and healing powers.
