THE PLOT

The world has been at war for nearly a decade. What started out as a dispute over two neighbouring cities, one north of the country and one south, quickly turned into an all consuming war. Battles and armies spread, and different allegiances were formed, resulting in an seemingly endless conflict in which neither side had gained any ground. Civilians have lived in constant fear, hoping that their homes would not get caught in the fray, although very few have been lucky enough to remain untouched by the untold destruction.

No matter how hard each army tried, neither could gain the upper hand. That was until recently, when a doctor, who believed he was working on the 'key to life', a cure to bring those killed in the war back from the dead, fully animated with all their memories and emotions intact, injected a Southern Faction soldier with the so called remedy. Could it have been possible, things only got worse.

The cure turned out to be not a cure, but a virus, and it quickly spread throughout the land. It did partly what the doctor had hoped, reanimate the dead, although they lacked the emotions and memories they had in their previous lives. Rather, they became vengeful corpses, wandering with one goal; to end their hunger by feeding on human flesh.

The war still rages today, and now soldiers must fight their opposing faction and the undead. Many civilians have banded together, taking to the deserted streets in an attempt to claim back their cities from the dead, but with no certainty they will succeed. What is certain is that none are safe; solider or civilian.

COMMANDER GABRIEL STRATOS
Played by:



Commander Gabriel Stratos is a ruthless and imposing man, and commander of the Southern Faction's armies. Every general on every front reports to him. He does not tolerate failure, and will go to extreme lengths to prove victorious over the Northern Faction. The boundaries between good and evil are extremely blurred, and he is willing to commit heinous war crimes should it lead to his success. It was on his orders that the Virus was released, despite the fact animal testing had not been finished and the safety of the cure was not verified.


DOCTOR DAVID HALE
Played by:



Doctor David Hale is a genius level scientist, and has spent much of his life working with both human medical care and human genetics. When the war broke out, he was hired by the Souther Faction to run their medical facilities, and in return, he would receive unlimited funding for his personal research; something named 'the key to life.' After bringing a number of his medical staff with him to the Southern Factions encampments and setting up a successful hospital, he began to work once again with human D.N.A. He hoped the key to life would work in restoring life to the dead, but before it was fully ready for human testing, he was forced into using it by Commander Stratos, who paid for his research. It had disastrous effects, and while it did animate the dead, it animated them as flesh eating monsters, seemingly unable to feel pain. He carries that weight on his shoulders, and has since devoted himself to becoming a better doctor, and finding a cure for the virus he created.


COMMANDER JACOB COLEMAN
Played by:



Jacob Coleman is the commander of the Northern Faction armies, and unlike Gabriel Stratos, he is a lot more humane. While he may appear gruff and unapproachable, those that get close to him find him kind at heart. He often puts himself out for his soldiers, and being an ex-grunt himself, he knows how hard it can be to fight on the front lines. He still blames the Southern Faction for the wars beginning, and now holds a larger grudge against Stratos after the release of the virus. He hopes desperately that the war will end soon, as he struggles to see the death of any more of his comrades.

NURSE MARIE COLLINS
Played by:



Marie Collins is head of the Northern Faction's medical wards, and one of the most kind and caring people anyone could wish to meet. Efficient at her job, and seemingly unaffected by the hideous injuries she sees, she is an inspiration to all medical officers working in the North, and further more, easy on the eyes of the injured soldiers. However, her carefree and joyful personality can dissipate when she is alone, when she allows herself to be overcome by the true horror of what she has witnessed. Not even she can keep up a brave face forever.

Southern Faction Soldier
Ground soldiers for the Southern Faction, they are simply armed, and tend to fight on the front lines.

Southern Faction Ranked Soldier
Ranked soldiers are army officials. Some fight with the soldiers on the front lines, giving orders, while other remain in base camps to work out strategies. While all give orders, those orders tend to come from Commander Stratos. Please specify in your profile what rank your official is.

Northern Faction Soldier
Ground soldiers for the Northern Faction, they are simply armed, and tend to fight on the front lines.

Northern Faction Ranked Soldier
Ranked soldiers are army officials. Some fight with the soldiers on the front lines, giving orders, while others remain in base camps to work out strategies. While all give orders, those orders tend to come from Commander Coleman. Please specify in your profile what rank your official is.

Zombie Hunter
Some ex-soldiers and civilians have banded together, armed themselves, and gone to liberate the world from those risen dead infected with the virus. They tend to work in groups, and fight overrun cities. Survival, however, comes first.

Civilians
Normal people living normal lives, some civilians try to carry on living life as if the war and virus never took place, compensating where they can for effected lifestyles.

Doctors/Nurses
Doctors and Nurses are important both in armies and in cities and safe zones. They deal with the injured in war, and try to help those attacked by the undead. Most are kind and caring, with a good knowledge of medicine.
