An oasis sitting on the glum outskirts of Astale sat the Outpost; a safe haven for travelers and bandits. On pitch black nights the outpost would overflow with people from different backgrounds (and those who held different intentions). Such a night happened to fall on this day so in preparation, the outpost readied itself for the colorful cast of travelers looking for a place to stay for the night. Thieves and murderers mixed with travelers and those making their way to Astale flocked inside of the outpost, quickly crowding the area.
"Excuse me miss," A voice murmured under the roars and shouts of the strangers. "I need a room for the night. I'll be leaving for Astale as soon as day breaks." The teenaged wizard, Felix Archimedes, fixed the collar of his coat while looking around. After traveling for months, gaining more knowledge about magic and expanding pass his destructive magic, he would finally return home to the kingdom of Astale. In his own way, he was excited to return to the kingdom, although it would be as though he never left. In Astale, he was never a noticeable figure; people walked by him without a second thought. All the better to create mischief though...
Felix was promptly shown to his room were he placed his small sack of personal items near his bed. After those months of exploring and learning, Felix's energy had been the exact opposite of what he thought it would be. Instead of drop dead tired, the wizard was in a sociable mood and decided to join the lobby in where the mass of people had stayed. Only carrying a handbook of spells and his wand (Which he had concealed on the inside pocket of his jacket), he made his way towards the spacious room, taking a seat at the nearest empty table. He quietly observed the atmosphere of the outpost while looking through his handbook of spells. The outpost was known to have interesting characters walk through their doors, maybe Felix would meet one before the night was over.
