SECRET: Emil wishes to become stronger, both physically and emotionally.

PERSONALITY: Emil is very shy, nervous and apologizes a lot. His shyness prevents him from making any and he feels like he is lonely. His Aunt Flora and Uncle Alba hate him and blame him for their problems, making Emil very submissive to others. Emil makes an easy target for bullying. He has a very low self-esteem and will not stand up for himself, for the most part. Emil doesn’t talk much. He does his best not to make anyone mad, but often feels he does anyway. He is easily frightened.

However as submissive as he is, Emil will not do something he feels is wrong. He has a strong sense of justice and will stand up the best he can, which it’s much, to uphold this sense of justice. He will try to protect others to the best of his abilities. Emil does show promise of gaining strength. He needs someone to help him to stand up for himself and not cower in fear in the face of opposition. This someone may help him overcome his low self-esteem and mold him into a brave, courageous, young man. They may even get him to be more social able.

HISTORY:
Emil was born to his mother and father. He grew up very happy and social. He had lots of friends and loved to have fun. They weren’t rich but they weren’t poor either. His father was a merchant. The three of them lived a happy life. But his happy lifestyle took a turn for the worst.

At the age of 13, he and his parents were traveling by carriage to head to the next town for a large market sale. There was only 3 more miles left, when the carriage was attacked by a group of thieves. His mother hid him, but both his parents were severely injured. As the thieves ran off with their stuff, Emil came out of hiding to see his father dead and his mother on the verge. She told him to go to the town and live with his Aunt Flora and his Uncle Alba.

When he reached there, is aunt and uncle reluctantly took him in. They blamed him for everything that went wrong, even if there was no way he could have caused it. This changed him to a weak and submissive child. Emil’s uncle would abuse him when something went wrong. Both of them called him a nuisance, troublesome, and pathetic on a regular basis. This only furthers his weak nature.

One day while walking around the towns edge he came across a hurt baby fox. He cared for the fox in secret, knowing that if his aunt or uncle found out the fox could be killed. After nursing the fox back to health, he named it Nog. Nog follows Emil around like a pet and depends on him for food, but lives in the nearby woods and is technically a wild animal. When Emil is finally able to keep him at home, Nog will lose his 'wild animal' title.
