SECRET: Despite Aiko being a usually hopeful person, thinking of the positive side during bad situations, there's a small part of her that feels hopeless and like nothing will change or improve. She keeps this to herself 'cause she doesn't want to believe things are hopeless and never will get better, and naturally doesn't tell anyone a small part of her thinks "what's the point?". She doesn't want to believe her father's name won't be cleared or that her mother is going to die. But part of her thinks that, and she wishes it would go away.
PERSONALITY:
Aiko is generally a very happy, hopeful person. Doesn't matter how dark the outlook is, she tries to find the positives in things. She can brighten up the room by just smiling, and she is a very loving and caring person. A bit easily frustrated, she is known to pout alot and storm out of the room. Yes, it seems a bit immature, but that's how she handles her anger and frustration. She's also known to easily trust people. She believes in giving them a chance and taking risks, for you never know what kind of person they are until you get to know them. Making friends is sure alot better than enemies, right? However, even though you may earn trust easy from her, it's a very precious thing. So if you at all betray her trust, trying to earn it back is nearly impossible, even though she generally is a very forgiving person.
HISTORY:
Aiko's family were a family of farmers. That is how they made their money. Aiko has a non-identical twin sister, Aiya, and an older brother, Daisuke. Also, a younger brother, Damacus. Both their parents taught them how to farm and harvest, and how to sell the produce on the market. However, Daisuke and his brother were usually in charge of standing guard, making sure no animals eat them up, or thieves come to steal it at night. They were pretty sucessful, until for some reason, their crops staretd to fail. No one else appeared to have this problem, just them. Then their father was wrongly accused of something, and thrown in prison for a crime he did not commit. Since then, their mother has gotten very ill. In order to afford her medicine and to stay at their house, Aiko and her twin sister both got jobs so they can earn money. Aiko works as a merchant, selling all that she can. Usually it's things like food, but she tries to sell items, handmade or found in the wilderness. She hopes to see her father's name cleared and that her mother gets well. She also dreams about meeting her soul mate one day....
ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE:
Aiko was at the house. It was late at night and she was out in the bare fields doing laundry, a few lanterns to provide some light. There were sounds of crickets all around, constantly reminding her it was nightfall. Thankfully, the air was fresh and it wasn't cold. It wasn't hot, but warm. She was able to roll her sleeves up to avoid getting those parts soaked with water as she dipped in the clothes. She signed as she dunked another dress in the soapy water.
"Stupid Aiya, having me do all the laundry!" she muttered, complaining about how her sister didn't show up. She had promised that to come and help her do laundry before dusk after work. But no, she was late! VERY late!
The sun had set, and Aiya didn't show. So now here she was, at nightfall, doing laundry. If anyone saw her, they'd think she's crazy probably. Doing your laundry at night doesn't quite look normal. As she pinned them to the clothes line, she sighed again. "I hope she's alright, at least." she said. "Still, I feel so uncomfortable doing laundry at night. I almost feel like something is going to come up from behind and jump at me!"
She shook her head. "I shouldn't think like that! Or else I'll freak myself out and start seeing things!"
She took another basket of dirty laundry and sorted through it, repeating the process of what she did with the last basket. Where was Aiya? Why was she late? Then again, she never really was an "on time" person. For all Aiko knew, Aiya could of forgot. She can be a bit dimwitted at times. Either dimwitted or just forgetful. Not that that's a good thing either.
OTHER: She's basically an alternate version of my charrie Kokoro Yukikage from "The Four Kingdoms"
