PERSONALITY: Luna is a cold, distant woman, maintaining a disinterested silence to the world around her. She tends to show little care for the affairs of others and will often state her dislike of those she deems annoying, if she does not outright ignore their very existence of course. She maintains a certain distance from the society around her, preferring to be shut off from the rest of the world and keep her head in a book rather than interact with others, though as a formality when dealing with other nobles she will of course show the proper manners she had been taught at a young age. Perhaps the only person she will willingly converse with is her butler, though that in itself is merely for the sake of ordering something for herself and not for the sake of socializing.
Luna is also surprisingly cunning and intelligent. Through the use of her own power and status in Mystere, along with clever manipulations and misinformation, she has been able to undermine Mystere's search into the Supernatural forces, primarily the Vampire Coven whom they seek to wipe out. In conjunction with her own nearly-flawless ability to act, she manages to completely avoid any suspicion cast on her. Though, to keep up this act, she needs to walk around in the sunlight far more often than she'd prefer, requiring the use of her own umbrella to give her shade and protect her. Ultimately however, she is at the very least loyal enough to her kind to continue pulling off this act, showing at least some connection with the Vampire coven. However, when spoken down to by another, she will always be quick to remind them what she has done for the Vampires.
Underneath it all however, Luna is a sadist wanting nothing more than the freedom to sate her lust for blood, which is perhaps her biggest reason for wanting to follow the rest of the coven. Deep down, she enjoys the power being a Vampire has brought her and adores the taste of blood. As though being born the daughter of a wealthy noble wasn't enough, the life of a Vampire has offered her a new source of power she isn't willing to part with. By her own belief, the life of a noblewoman was constricting and through her rebirth as a Vampire, she has gained a new freedom. However, despite this bloodlust, she is able to keep herself calm for the sake of her facade, knowing when and when not to take action lest she blow her own cover. Luna, after all, is a cautious mind as well.
HISTORY: Luna, born to a pair of nobles in the region of Mystere, was always expected of to be a fair lady, doing just as society dictated and following the example her mother and father set out for her. However, at a young age, when her mother died of illness, her father was forced to take all of the pressure of raising her into a young woman himself and unfortunately, despite his attempts to turn her into a proper young woman, Luna was not as willing to go along with his attempts as any other young lady might have been - whereas most would be listening dotingly to their father's every word, she was seeking something else in life, a certain freedom not granted by the chains that came with being born into a noble family, as her father would come to understand.
After her mother's death, her father had taken to drinking, usually seen having a bottle every night brought to him by one of the servants. In the daytime he sent her to her studies with one of the servants keeping a keen eye on her, though she would always hate it. For every hour of study she did, she would spend the next hour strolling about trying to do her own thing, resulting in her arguing with her father over even the most trivial of things. The relationship they had was slowly becoming strained as the two attempted to establish their power and role in the parent-child dynamic, neither one letting the other get their way. Eventually, she was almost completely shut into the house by her father as he tried to drive the manners and ways of the nobility into her.
When she had become a young lady of 14, the suitors had started coming. Striving to get a beautiful, untouched woman like herself wrapped around their fingers, they would work with her father to try and gain her affections, but whether out of genuine dislike for each man or her own determination to never let her father have his way, she turned away every single one. With each rejection she gave her father turned more and more bitter, hitting the booze hard as he struggled to keep his daughter in line after his wife's death, a death he never got over. When she had begun to show an... 'Interest' in the other ladies of the land, he had had the last straw - from then on out, if it meant physical abuse to get her to follow his lead, he would resort to it. However, Luna fought back all the more.
After one horrible night spent with another suitor, Luna walked back home that evening to her house only to find a disturbing sight - blood was smeared across the gates of the manor as a corpse was left slumped against the metal bars - the body of her own father - whilst a figure loomed over, a strange glint in his eyes. Before she could do anything, she had been bitten - A strange, bizarre experience. It was as though her skin had gone cold, the blood in her veins no longer providing the same heat as she felt a new lust overcome her - lapping up some of the blood on the bars, she reveled in the taste. Luna was now a Vampire. Before the figure left, he tasked her with a charge - to make sure she used the power now in her hands in the interests of the Vampire coven. Seeing it as a fair trade, she accepted the deal gladly.
When people investigated, she feigned innocence, bursting into tears as she recounted how she came upon her father's cold, dead, bloody body in the evening time. Decided innocent of all charges, she was left to her own devices as she now held complete control over the Sanguine Estate. When people began speaking of Vampires and Werewolves, she began to fulfill her side of the deal - using her status to quell fears with rational, logical responses, clever use of misinformation and a manipulative tongue. But when the Alistair family began making their own moves, the game of leading people astray became almost like a match of chess. Her battle to undermine the knowledge of the most respected noble house in the land, regardless of whether they were children or not.
