The steps of the Miko brought her to the edge of a large stone staircase. Her eyes wandered up, looking at the temple that stood here, lost and forgotten. Gods rose and died with human desire, as the girl gave a light smile. It was a beautiful place : an aura of holiness permated the air, as she took a few paces up the stone steps. They were comfortable, and worn in : probably when the temple was in use, a great many whorshipers would come daily. But now.. it was all but a shell of what it used to be. That was almost sad to the black haired priestess, as she gave in a soft breath, her fingers splaying before her, almost as if waiting for something to assault her. Even holy places were full of demons, as the lesson was harshly learned by others. The Tennyo descendant then gave a soft smile, as she stepped further to the temple. Now near the doorway, she contemplated her business here. She wanted to find a haven for the half-bloods : the one she had meet a bit before spurred this decision. As a technical half-blood, she wanted to see them safe. But as a Miko, she had to keep the populace safe and help others.
But wouldn't making a society where half-bloods were accepted, and taught differently change things? Wouldn't that protect the populace, and eventually, make them feel more comfortable at the knowledge that the world was right? That was a very dangerous line. She didn't know either to cross it, or blur it until it didn't matter anymore. But the girl knew of her ardent desire to help out half-bloods : that she could never give up. No matter what. It was her joy to help someone, and if she could help others like her.. maybe she'd discuss it with the monks of her village. Perhaps the village she was protecting would be kind.
The crack of a branch, and the silence of nature warned the Miko, as she stilled. Waiting for the presence to manifest itself, she bit her lip. Gathering her magic, she got ready to strike : if it was unfriendly, of course. But patience was a virtue, and now, Yuri had to wait.

Kilala had gotten a little lost. She wasn't headed any where in particular, but she had no idea where she was. None the less she continued to walk. There seemed to be an ancient temple of some sort in front of her. Kilala's curiosity got the best of her as she moved in to investigated. It looked to be fairly vacant. No one was visible. Kiara started to run off, chasing something Kilala couldn't see. "Huh? Kiara! Come back! Where are you going?" The young half-demon took chase of the small cat demon. Her cat tail swayed back and forth behind her with each step. The white cat ears on her head bounced. Just where did that cat go?
Kilala stopped and panted. She had a hand on a nearby tree trunk. Kiara could run. Kilala was kinda sad that she couldn't keep up with her little pet. What had gotten into her? It wasn't like her to run off without Kilala like that. The half-demon started to walk slowly, listening for any sign of her lost pet.
Her foot stepped on a branch causing it to snap in half. Her ears perked up at an unfamiliar sound. What was it? She moved slowly. What ever it was had stopped moving. Was it Kiara? Kilala grabbed the bell that was attached to the bracelet resting on her left wrist, with her right hand. If something attacked her, she was ready to strike back. Kilala slowly rounded a corner.
To her surprise it was a girl about her age. Kilala's brown eyes stared at the girl. She wasn't sure what to do. Would the girl attack her? The small wind blew Kilala's long blonde hair and white summer dress. She looked normal, besides the white cat tail under her dress and white cat ears. Kilala stood frozen. What was she going to do?

Wheeling about, she came face to face with another girl. A light wind was stirring, moving the strands of black and blonde, as Yuri sighed. Another person out here? That was slightly foolish, as she gazed up again, her eyes of blood catching sight of something. White cat ears and a cat tail? This meant.. the girl was a half-blood, at the least. She didn't step down from her fighting pose, just in case, as she stared at the other girl. She didn't like to speak, but since the girl didn't attack her on sight, she was either a friendly Youkai, or what Yuri thought she was. The black haired girl extended a hand, as if in friendship, before giving a light smile. It was better to carry on the impression that she was mute, at least to see what type of person this half blood was. The offered hand wasn't charged with magic, but the other was, just in case. After all, the girl looked lost, or searching for something, and that something wasn't normal, judging by her fast breath.
Only a pure blooded demon could out run a half-blood. And this meant either that demon was small, and a pet, or a companion, and setting up an ambush for her. Either way, Yuri had to be careful : she had taken down her fair share of demons. After all, how many doll like miko where there? As most were light oriented users, Yuri had a darker power and history, making her a Kuroi Miko. Not evil per say, but on the border. All these thoughts raced in the girl's head, as caution was a mistress not able to be overrun so easily. But, the doll like girl felt as if this other one was good : and usually, the miko's instincts were right. She would see if they were this time as well.

Kilala was surprised to see the other girl reach her hand out in a form of friendship. She wasn't going to attack her? A smile swept across Kilala's face as she gently shook the hand. "Um...Hello. I didn't think anyone was here." She said. Her head tilted. Why did the girl seem to be in a fighting pose if she held her hand out in a friendly manner? Kilala caught her breath. Why was she running again? She couldn't remember.
Just then Kiara came prancing back, a mouse was hanging from her mouth by the tail. That's why she ran? To catch a mouse? Kilala laughed. "You had me worried, Kiara. Now let it go." Kiara looked at the new girl, lowered her head and released the mouse. She seemed kinda mad to let her 'toy' go, but pranced back to Kilala regardless. The small cat demon jumped up on her master's left shoulder and mewed. She didn't know if she liked the new girl or not.
"I'm sorry. She ran off on me. I'm Kilala Kitsune and this is Kiara, my pet." Kilala informed. She didn't mean any harm. Hopefully, this girl understood her. She really didn't want to fight or hurt someone. Even if she was half a demon, she never wanted to hurt anyone.
